The Fashionopolis Experience
Since 2013 Fashionopolis has been a signature event of the local fall fashion season. This year we are leaning into the –opolis with an experience that goes beyond fashion and embraces even more of our local arts and creative community.
Join us at the magnificent Minneapolis Institute of Arts during the opening month of its exclusive exhibition Paris Couture, on display through January 2027.
THE EXPERIENCES
What to Expect
Choose your experience into a grandest night of fashion, art, music, and community. Two distinct access levels tailored to your style.
All guests will have access to Paris Couture, Mia's blockbuster fall exhibition. (A $20 value.)
The Grand Salon
Begins at 6pm and includes a parade of fashion co-directed by Grant Whittaker and Jayne Haugen Olson. The 45-minute production celebrates and highlights emerging local designers, vintage fashion, fall looks from independent retailers, and local premier fashion designers.
The Jade Corridor at Mia will be transformed into an intimate and immersive fashion runway with no more than three rows deep of seating limited to 300 guests. Upon arrival attendees will be treated to a premium welcome experience, runway show, and the post-show Twilight Soiree experience.
The Twilight Soiree
Begins at 8:30 pm. Upon arrival guests will be treated to a spectacular night at the museum party surrounded by fashion, music, cocktails, and light bites.
EXCLUSIVE BLOCKBUSTER EXHIBITION
About Paris Couture
More than 80 haute couture masterpieces from the Palais Galliera, spanning the late 19th century to today. The exhibition features icons such as Dior, Balenciaga, Schiaparelli, and Grès.
Together, these extraordinary garments show couture as one of the great art forms of the modern era, only at Mia October 4 through January 17, 2027.

About Fashionopolis
Created by Mpls.St.Paul Magazine in 2013, the annual fashion event showcases the local fashion community, local and independent retail, local designers, models, and talent. In addition, leading brands and businesses create activations and unique experiences for guests that add to the overall guest experience.
Ticket sales and sponsorships help cover the costs of local artists, talent, and vendors; the local retailers, artisans, and designers who provide the looks for our models do not pay to be a part of the event. This year's location at Mia provides even more opportunity for a memorable evening and exposes our guests to one of the Twin Cities most-loved cultural institutions.
